Game @ the barn 10/06

If my gun's not done by then I'll play with the MP5. Hoping for good weather and a good turn-out.


Oh and everyone:

1) dead men don't talk, if you're shot pull out your dead rag or hold your gun up and don't communicate with your team until you're respawned.

2) do not go upstairs in the barn for this event

3) Please bring water, and also I recommend bringing lunch.


Ok idea for the morning game:
I was thinking starting the day with a bomb assault, first we'll call the defending team Team "Blue" and the assaulting team team "Red" to avoid confusion, there wil be a 30 minute time limit for the "Red" team to reach the red shed (not the barn, the red shed behind it) and plant the bomb, but Team "Blue" has a longer walk between the spawn point and the shed. Once Team "RED" plants the bomb, they must announce BOMB IS PLANTED as loud as possible at which point the game pauses and Team "BLUE" heads back to their original respawn Once respawned, a 15 minute timer starts and the "BLUE" team must take back the shed and disarm the bomb before the timer runs out and it explodes. Team "RED" must hold the shed for 15 minutes with at least 1 survivor. Once the bomb is planted there are no more respawns on either side, once you're dead head back to the safety zone and wait a few minutes until we have a winning team. Once the bomb is planted for team "BLUE" to win they must take back the shed within 15 minutes to disarm the bomb. For safety reasons there shall be no person in the shed at any time during this game. To plant the bomb simply walk up to the shed entrance and lay it down at the door (don't throw it). Remember to yell BOMB IS PLANTED. To disarm the bomb just pick it up and carry it with you or hand it to the nearest dead person walking back. I was thinking we do this once then 10 minute break for water/reload and switch sides, that should make for an hour and a half of objective fun-filled play. After both games break for lunch then we take a vote on whether we play another objective game or just team death match.

Oh one more thing came to mind, the person carrying the bomb from the red team must drop the bomb where they died and go back to respawn. The "blue" team can not pick up the bomb, but they can defend the area around it (set cordon) to prevent the red team from re-acquiring it until the timer runs out. The bomb will be easily identified.

We'll try the above first in the interest of keeping things simpler the first time, but one other idea I had was to make the "RED" team start with 2 bombs so if the first is disarmed the objective now for the "blue" team becomes to retrieve the second bomb by killing its carrier, and for the "RED" team to plant the second bomb where the 15 minute timer would re-start but still no respawns. We'll see how it goes without this add-on for this week.
